    Answer: 1. Click the Start button on the Taskbar.

    2. Then, select All Programs.

    3.Click Macromedia.

    4.Lastly, select and click Macromedia Flash 8 program

    5.Wait until the Macromedia Flash 8 window appears.



    2.Mention six work areasof Basic elements of Macromedia Flash 8 and explain its funtions.

    Answer:

    1.Menu Bar contains control for various functions, such as creating, opening, and saving files.

    2.Toolbox is a collection of tools to create or draw, choose and manipulate the content of the Stage and Timeline. Toolbox consists of four parts, namely Tools, View, Colors, and Options. Several tools have the Option part. For example, when Arrow Tool is chosen, options Snap, Smouth, Straighten, Rotate, and Scale will appear.

    3.Timeline is a place to create and control objects and animation.

    4.Stage is a rectangular area to create objects and animation.

    5.Property contains information which is used to determine the characteristics of an object or movie.

    6.Panels consist of functions to replace and modify various animation and object properties quickly and easily.



    3.What functions are from (in macromedia flash)

    a.Menu bar: is a bar of menus which contains commands in the form of active menus from File to Help and each menu has sub menus

    b.Toolbox: contains tools to draw objects on the Stage. It consists of Tools, Colors, View, and Options.

    c.Timeline: Timeline is used to arrange all objects which will be used in the multimedia or animation products. It is done by following certain layers and determining the their movement according to the timeline.

    * Tools

    a. Selection Tool : To select or move an object.

    b. Subselection Tool : To change an object by using edit points.

    c. Free Transform Tool : To rotate an object or change the object shape into another shape.

    d. Gradient Transform Tool : To rotate and widen the color gradients.

    e. Line Tool : To create a line on the Stage.

    f. Lasso Tool : To select an area of an object which will be edited.

    g. Pen Tool : To draw and change the shape of an object by using edit points (the result is more accurate and thorough).

    h. Text Tool : To create texts.

    i. Oval Tool : To create circular objects.

    j. Rectangle Tool : To create rectangular objects, polygons and stars.

    k. Pen Tool : To create any objects that you like. The object will be formatted by Flash into a perfect shape.

    l. Brush Tool : To give color to a free-formed object.

    m. Ink Bottle Tool : To give color to an object which does not have any color on its stroke / border.

    n. Paint Bucket Tool : To give the color, which fills up the whole object .

    o. Eyedropper Tool : To identify the colors or lines of an object.

    p. Eraser Tool : To erase / delete a part of an object that you have created.



    * View

    a. Hand Tool : To move an object display on the Stage without changing its position on the Stage.

    b. Zoom Tool : To increase and decrease the object view on the Stage.



    * Colors

    a. Stroke Color : To give color to lines or borders of an object.

    b. Fill Color : To give color to the fill of an object.

    c. Black and White : To give color to an object and borders / lines with black-white.

    d. No Color : Not to give color to an object.

    e. Swap Colors : To swap / exchange the color of the fill with the color of the stroke and vice versa.



    * Option

    a. Object Drawing : To give an effect to an object as if it does not blend with other objects.

    b. Snap to Objects : To activate the snap function on the object.

    10.Method 1: a. in the layer , right-click

    b. click insert layer, finish

    Method 2: click symbol (insert layer), finish

    11. 1. Double click at the layer

    2. at “name” in the layer properties, type name of layer.

    12. a. Click on the Layer you want to delete.

    b. Click Delete Layer icon in the Timeline.



    13. Hiding Layer : Click dot that is placed under Show/Hide All Layer icon and on the Layer you want to hide.

    Locking Layer : Click dot that is placed under Lock/Unlock All Layer icon and on the Layer you want to lock.



    14. Click Insert Layer Folder icon in the Timeline.



    15. • Create a text object. Set the size as you like. See the figure as in the example.

    • Click Frame 1. Select the Insert menu and click Timeline Effects.

    After that, click Effect and then click Expand (or, right click on Frame 1, click Timeline Effects, Effect, Expand).

    The Expand dialog box will appear.

    • Click on Effect Effect Duration. Type 20 to give effects on the frames, until Frame 20.

    - Color Mixer: it is used to manage colors of objects according to you own taste
    - Color Swatches: it is used to give colors to other objects that you make according to the color options in the window.

    - Click Text Tool.
    - Set the text format through the setting in Properties.
    - Put the mouse on the Stage and click it. Then, type the text. (espero)

    - Click on Effect Duration. Type 20 to give effects on the frames, until Frame 20.
    - Click Fragment Offset to set the length of Expand.
    - Use Direction of Movement to set the direction of Expand.
